Our hotel invites you to have lunch in the restaurant “Les Tonneaux du Père Magloire” overlooking the Chais des Calvados in the in Pont-L’ Evèque. In this warm decor, come and taste seasonal dishes and best recipes (melted with cheeses, gourmet cassolettes, Léontine pies…) accompanied by a pitcher of cider with an authentic atmosphere.
As for the cider lovers, we recommend a visit to Père Magloire cellars, owned by Debrise Dulac; or the “Domaine de Christian Drouin” in Coudray-Rabut, a distillery near the Jardins de Deauville.
The horses whisper
Your stay in Normandy continues with the visit of the Stud farm “d’ Ecajeul” in the afternoon, located about 30 km from your hotel in Pont-L’ Evèque. The owners, Isabelle and Jean-Luc, explain the basics of their profession, make you discover the place and even give you some information about the “secret of the Whisperers”.
The stud farm, created in 1947, welcomes horses for breeding and prepares thoroughbreds for training and competitions.
